Our friendly staff has put together a list of answers to our most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
We understand that moving is stressful and time-consuming. There are many details to take care of, so we have created this “Move Out Checklist to help you understand what’s required from our standpoint.
Come into the office to schedule your move-out and receive the necessary move out forms.
Move Out Checklist:
_____ Complete the “Intent to Vacate Form” and return it to us at least 10 days before your move.
_____ Empty your unit of all items, and leave it “broom clean”. Your unit should be left in good condition, subject to normal wear and tear.
_____Remove the lock and turn in the lock and keys to the office manager.
_____Management will inspect the vacant unit and sign the “Manager’s Inspection Vacant Unit” form
Failure to follow these procedures will result in a $40.00 Cut Lock fee and a $10.00 Administration fee.
Your storage unit must be vacated on or before the last day of the month for which rent was paid, and all terms and conditions of the lease agreement have been met. We do not prorate when you vacate a unit. If your unit is not vacated by your billing date, the next month’s rent is due. There are no exceptions.
For example, let’s say you want to move out in March, 2025 and your billing date is the first day of the month. You pay your March bill on the first, and you must have vacated the unit, by completing the 4 steps listed above, by March 31. If you are still in the unit on April 1, you are billed for the entire month of April.
Please let us know if you have any questions about this procedure or if we can be helpful in any other way as you proceed through this process.
